It took me 3 days to finish the good karma campaign of inFAMOUS 2. That's almost 20 hours of total gameplay time including all the side-missions, collect all the blast shards and dead drops.

Thanks for everyone who following ~~(stalked)~~ my blog for over 2 years. *shrug*

No, I'm not going to close down my blog in anytime soon. I know I can't produce any interesting stuff for you guys to read nor I'm living or used to live an interesting life to blog about it here.

Ah crap, half way of writing and I'm having "writer's block" now. Okay, I lied. I don't really have any sort "writer's block" because I don't used to write any journal in my life. The only form of journal I did write was way back of my life of 13 years old. So that was another story in my life.

Aha, I can see I'm making progress here with my blogging style. Another weakness of mine is I can't seem to focus on a single point on whatever I'm doing. I hate to break it for you but you might be wasting your time (Ed: just for the few seconds if you read it fast enough or maybe you didn't notice it if you glance through it. :P)

To cut it short, I'm going to end it here with all the possibly non-related filler stuff that I wrote above. After all I'd tagged this post with [Short ~~(rubbish)~~ Talk].

LOLWUT... Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Didn't really get any new cloth to wear for this upcoming CNY. Heck, I even missed out the early reunion dinner last Saturday (6/2/2010). At least I've started to work another full-time job.

Don't know what to blog at the moment now. {Ed: It's freaking almost 2am for fuck sake} Life goes on as usual for everyone else including me too. Tomorrow Friday I gotta work full shift on my job.

There's nothing interesting stuff to blog 'bout today. Woke up early in the morning like 6am to walk all the way to Taman Connaught from my house. Estimate walking distance is around 5km. Took another walking trip back home too. That make total 10km of walking distance. All for the sake of last driving lesson. Dropped dead for 2 hours after reached home and then got something to do.

A single trip will going to cost me RM5.90 for getting to a place. RM1.90 for taking RapidKL from Damai Perdana to Maluri; RM2.40 for taking LRT from Maluri to Masjid Jamek; RM1.60 for taking another LRT from Masjid Jamek to Abdullah Hukum.

Double those amounts if taking the same route back. That will be total RM11.90 just for the transportation going out alone in a day.

I can't imagine if I'm going to work 6 days a week in the future.

The art of noise

Honda employs super-tuner Mugen to hone the Civic Type R to a razor's edge. But is this 240bhp, 8,300rpm screamer any good? Click through our gallery to find out...

The Honda Civic Type R Mugen Concept can be neatly summarized in surprisingly few words. Unfortunately, seeing as all of them are swear words apart from ‘mental', bleeding', ‘earholes' and ‘backwards', it's very hard to give you the full stretch without getting letters. Suffice to say that it's more than a bit feisty.

But first, a word on what this car is all about. Now, Mugen might be a name that you're vaguely familiar with if you've ever spent any time near a racetrack or group of go-faster Honda owners. Founded in 1973 by Hirotoshi Honda (the son of Honda's founder Soichiro), Mugen is an independent Honda ‘tuner' based mostly in Japan, and it's still owned by the Honda family.

Thanks to this handy bit of cuddly corporate nepotism, Mugen has developed high-performance bits for Honda for years. Not just road cars either: from '91 to 2000 Mugen prepped F1 engines for Tyrrell, Ligier, Prost and Jordan, as well as advising on Honda's engine programme. Now, rather less sexily, it has a base in Northampton, and this car is a kind of rolling billboard for what Mugen would like to do. That is, become the ‘M-Sport' equivalent of Honda. So huge associations with Honda, but more focussed: think of them as (potentially) Honda's AMG, or Renaultsport, and you'll get the idea.

Good. It's all going swimmingly until we see the car in the metal. Now I'm quite keen on the J-tuning scene, so the big wing is actually - in my eyes - appropriate, but I'd prefer it if it was useful (it's not, apart from creating some marginal negative lift characteristics). I'd also prefer it if the extra bodykit bits weren't so obviously fake. The vents behind the front wheels don't appear to do anything, and the triangular ducts in the bonnet are solid black plastic under mesh. Not great.

Walk up to the car from behind and your eye is lured towards the gaping pair of circular exhausts that dominate the lower part of the bumper - noticeable firstly by their size and secondly because they aren't triangular. And thirdly because they aren't connected - at all - to the actual exhausts. You can see straight through them to the suspension, the real exhausts hanging out near the back like hosepipes stuffed in oil barrels. Not something I've seen on race cars.

Soon forgotten though, because once you jump in, it all gets very exciting. The seats are gone, the fronts replaced by lightweight Recaro units set far lower than standard. There's a triple set of extra gauges to the right of the instrument binnacle and as soon as you fire up the motor, a grin will fire up your face. This thing is race-car fruity and unsociably raspy. Excellent. A new cam, pistons, throttle body, ECU, intake system and exhaust release 240bhp at 8,300rpm (500rpm higher than standard). A relatively lowly 157lb ft only reaches a peak at 6,250rpm, when most cars are coughing up a lung, but seeing as the Mugen is 105kg lighter than stock, it doesn't really matter.

And the noise. At 76mph in sixth gear your brain leaks out of your ears. Not, as you might expect, from the banshee wail of an iVTEC 2.0-litre trying to birth its valves through the manifold, but the horrific resonance of a semi-race exhaust unmitigated by silencers, or probably more appropriately, a helmet and earplugs. It's horrible. Until you start playing with the ever-so-slightly more precise gearbox and realise what Mugen has really done.

It's made a Touring Car. Out of a Civic.

It's not as if a Honda generally has flabby great swathes of engineering fat to excise, but Mugen has done it. The suspension gets new springs, dampers and bushes as well as geometry tweaks, but the result is extraordinary. This car is softer than a standard Civic Type R, but so brilliantly caught on the rebound that it has body control without the brittle ride. And you feel every single gram of feedback through the wheel, like someone has attached your tendons to the wishbones. The wheels are some 4-ish kg lighter than standard (each), and it means that turn-in is off the wrists, with the car pivoting around a point that sits just above the front axle - the Type R experience amped-up on the good drugs.

The brake pedal is firm thanks to a new four-pot front brake set-up, but the car isn't over-braked. Everywhere there's feel, but firmness. It's taut, but tactile. And when you set that motor spinning through the 5,500rpm VTEC boundary, lunacy is achieved time and time again. It might not be as blithely quick as the current crop of turbo hatches, but it's a pure and simple joy for the keen driver - a very pointy point made that absolute fastest is not always best.

A point bourne out when the Stig takes the wheel at the TG test track. There we are surrounded on all sides by barren airfield for at least 200 metres, and as I turn 360 degrees, there he is, a foot behind me. As if he's beamed down from planet Helmet. Not so much a keen driver as completely psychotic, the Stig pounds the Mugen around and around until it runs out of petrol, then abandons the car with the keys in it and the door open. As he walks past on the way to God-knows-where, he gives me a thumbs-up. At least that's what it looked like. If you squint.

It's a delight, this Concept. Stupidly noisy, not as fast as a Focus RS, a bit on the tinselly side, if we're getting personal. But when you get down to it, this is a car for people who love driving, rather than just going fast. And the world is a better place for it. Just pray that Mugen takes heart and gets us more stuff ASA-bloody-P.

When the news popped up 2 days ago, I didn’t expect that day will come any sooner. Damn, I still haven’t figure out where the heck of my ID register slip gone to. That left me 13 more days until the registration will close. If the luck is not my side, I might as well prepare myself to study at random college. There is one thing quite bothering though. It’s I still haven’t decide to choose which courses to further study. Despite my SPM was over 3 years ago and the recent STPM. Here I am, already a 20 years old who currently composing this improper blog post, still reluctant to get a driving license, fascinating at computer hardware, glued to Discovery, NatGeo and History channels, don’t have a long term job, regretted didn’t get a good grip on science subjects, Jack of all trade; master of none, barely covered the basic of commerce subjects, an idiot, an accidental loner, passion to games but rarely play any, no girlfriend, carefree, missed high school but not the people, missed her, barely even an otaku, almost turning into a hikikomori, gained weights, depress, lack of socialization, moody, nothing better to do, still not sleeping……

Okay, my mind is running out of verbs to make up the supposedly a very long post ~~due to lack of proper English usage in everyday life~~.

I went into Genting casino when I was 19.
I haven’t blow any birthday candle for many years. (more than 5, maybe 6 years till I lost count already) (including this year too)
I don’t remember celebrated my birthdays with friends nor friends celebrated my birthdays. (pff… my b’day usually fell near on school opening days)
I’ve been working part-time since Form 3 and total clocked up over 9000 hours and still counting. (LOL… over 9000 hours was exaggerated. XD)
I think I have stop growing vertically. (6 feet 4 is pretty tall)
I crashed my bicycle toward a slow moving semi-lorry. (when I was 7 years old and suffered bone fracture on the leg)
“IDDQD” is the first cheat code I discovered when I played Doom on Macintosh Apple Computer. (I’ve mastered that game on the age of 6 albeit cheating. :P)
The consequence of didn’t hand in homework on time was rotan’d by teacher. (back then Standard 4 and kena over 100 times of rotan in a single day. I’ve survived and tell the tale. :P)
My palms used to be very thick skins. So was my face. XD (due to the reason on 8)

Yea… Was planned to update my blog with the Penang trip I went to last week. I’d done editing the pictures that I taken during the trip. Everything will be put on hold for the moment while I’m little bit busy helping to pack up ~~a lot of~~ stuff to my new house.

Referring to this post, it’s a little bit annoying (sometimes irritating too) when people set their song auto-play in their blog. What make it more worse is that somehow there’s no button or anyway to stop the music from playing. It’s not that I say they have bad taste of song selection but why do you have to make other people uncomfortable ~~suffering~~ by listening to your song/music in the blog where readers have no any control over it.

Seriously, if you want your friends to know what’s your favourite song, just do it by listing it out on the blog sidebar or embed any player without setting it to auto-play.

What have I got myself into?

1. Will be tripping to P.Penang with a bunch of ~~girl~~ friends I barely familiar with.

2. It will be the first time I travel to furthest distances from KL.

3. It also will be my first time travel by plane. (Relevant advertising: It’s indeed now everyone can fly quoted by AirAsia.)

4. I’ll need have at least RM400 cash for the trip.

5. Maybe I should take a holidays away from home ~~Internet~~.

6. I told my employer I’ll be moving to a new place in mid December.

7. The best part: I told him I can still go to work as usual technically by taking public bus.

8. From Cheras to Kuchai; ETA: 1+ hour; Transport: RapidKL. (under plausible scenario.)

9. From Kuchai to Cheras; ETA: 15 ~ 20 minutes; Transport: Car. (under plausible scenario.)

10. Look at the bright side, at least I still have people to go out with and I’m not unemployed ~~yet~~.

This post has set to publish at 5am. ETA till STPM: 3 hours left. Went to sleep at 10pm; woke up at 2:30am. Now I feel like it’s 2006’s SPM all over again. Only this time I’ll be taking 4 subjects (divided to 2 papers for each subject) instead of 11 subjects in my previous SPM. Hmm… (11 – 8 = 3) Sound like a good deal because I’m taking 3 less subjects?

Let’s comprehend this:

STPM, 4 subjects, total 8 papers, 3 hours for each paper, 2 hours for Pengajian Am 1, total 23 hours combine together.

SPM? I’m lazy to sum it up for the time being. I’ll edit it once I have some breathing room inside brain.

How to make the font look better in Windows XP

GDi++

It contains gdi++.dll which is a replacement for the Windows default font rasteriser, which gives you a blurry better font smoothing capability, just like Mac OS X. It hacks one of the most important core dlls for graphics, gdi32.dll.

Extract the content from the zip file into a folder. (No installation is needed.)
Double click the “gditray” to execute the application.
You can turn it on or off by right click on the little icon in the taskbar.
Create a shortcut from the “gditray” and put it on desktop for easy access.

Notes:

This program does not contains and it is free of virus/spyware/malware/trojan/keylogger/adware. (I’d been using it for years.)
This program is tested in Windows XP. (I haven’t try it on Windows Vista because I believe Windows Vista has it own font rendering process which is different from Windows XP.)
This program won’t affect your PC performance even if you have 256MB of RAM in your PC except it will take a few seconds to apply the process.
It may not render well with some Chinese fonts.

It's suck when the only digital camera in the house is spoilt. No new picture to show off. So I don't think this blog will fill with pictures anytime soon. Or maybe I'll try to dig up some interesting one from my folder.
